My Favourite cards
1980-81 OPC Mark Messier RC
Messier is second all-time in points in NHL history and receives very little discussion for being considered one of the best players of all time. He was an excellent leader and a great all-around player. This a very iconic 1980's card and is tough to find with 50/50 centering.

1984-85 OPC Dave Andreychuk RC
This card had to be part of my most highly negotiated trades growing up. A friend down the street had found a large shoebox of 1980's hockey cards in the garbage. Over the summer of 1995 we worked out a large trade over the course of a few weeks. This was the gem of the trade as I was a big Andreychuk fan thanks to his time with the Leafs. The rest of the cards from the trade were in poor condition, although I still have them in box somewhere in my parents basement.

1985-86 OPC Mario Lemieux RC
I managed to get this card for a great price. So many fake Lemieux rookies are out in the secondary market and I was thrilled to be able to get a PSA copy of the card to ensure it was authentic. The card would have graded a little better if the colors were more sharp. Perhaps I will upgrade my copy of this card one day.

1986-87 OPC Patrick Roy RC
This is easily one of the most iconic hockey cards all of time. It took me a while to find a copy of the card that I was happy with for the price I was willing to pay. This card would be near mint if it wasn't for a very small pin hole through the top of the card. Still, a very nice card to own featuring one of my favourite goalies.

1995-96 Playoff One on One Wayne Gretzky URB
At one point this card booked for $175 and was a very tough pull. The Playoff trading card game was not around very long (only two years) as many reported the game to be difficult to play/understand. As a kid I enjoyed playing and just made up the rules as I went along. The Ultra Rare Bronze cards don't pop up very often on the secondary market anymore and sell in the $3-$20 range.

2013-14 ITG BTP Corey Hirsch Patch
This is one crazy patch! Growing up I thought Hirsch would be a great NHL goaltender. That never quite materialized and he drifted through the minors and Europe finally retiring after the 2005-06 season in Sweden. Hirsch is well known due to giving up one of the most famous goals in Olympic hockey history. Peter Forsberg scored on Hirsch in the 1994 Olympics to clinch the Gold medal for Sweden in a shootout.
